Reference Web Poster Tech Support FAQ

Problem: I can't see my databases that I posted in the list of searchable databases.

Solution: When databases are posted to Reference Web Poster they all need to be in the same sort order. In cases where they are not in the same sort order, the last database loaded into Reference Web Poster will determine the sort. The databases produced by ProCite® and Reference Manager® rely on file system settings to determine the default sort order. For example: Two users (A and B) are using Reference Manager 9. User A is working on an NT Workstation whose file system is NTFS and and User B is working on a Windows 98SE whose file system is FAT32. The default sorts for the databases will be different even though the Reference Manager setting for both databases may be, for example, Primary:author and Secondary:date. The solution to this is to determine which user will need to rebuild his/her database and then create a new database on the other machine and copy all of the references into it.
